BIO
Barbara Brown received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the
University of Washington, where she studied with National Medal
of Arts Recipient Jacob Lawrence. Her career in the arts has
spanned over thirty years.
Before
locating to Atlanta in 2000, Brown was a working artist in the
Seattle art community. She was active in the art community
serving for ten years as an auction organizer for Allied Arts as
well as owning her own gallery in Pioneer Square, the art center
of Seattle.
Barbara
Brown is now a freelance architectural and commercial
photographer. She is a contributing photographer to
Today’s
Custom Home Magazine. Her architectural photographs have
been published by Panache:
Dream Homes of Georgia, and
her photographs can be seen in advertisements published in:
Kitchen Trends,
Atlanta Life Magazine,
Atlanta
Homes and Life Style, and Atlanta Home Improvement.
Barbara
Brown’s fine art photographs are delicate, crisp images. Through
the medium of photography, Brown pursues compositions with a
focus on light and texture. Her work is collected nationally and
has been exhibited in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles,
Atlanta, Savannah and New York.
She resides
in Atlanta with her husband, daughter and two Golden Retrievers.
